Great chair – nice and comfortable but the arms are not removable, they must be used to hold the chair together.
Simple to put together, one screw would not go into the base for the arm rest due to the hole not being straight. The seat cushion is a little hard but decent enough for 5 hours (my cat enjoys sleeping on it so it must be approved). It does creek and crack with side to side motion which at times can be annoying.
Surprisingly comfortable and well worth the price. The base of the chair has enough room for me to curl my legs up onto it, and is very soft. The headrest and lower back support are great, though they aren't adjustable so may not be so good for someone not around my height (around 165–175cms). Arms are required to hold the chair together but they don't get in the way, and are low enough not to matter if you don't use them. Highly recommended for a solid chair on a budget.
