Understanding stock statuses

There are over 5 million different items for sale on Mighty Ape, but not every item is located in our warehouse and available for immediate delivery. For this reason, beside every item for sale on Mighty Ape we display a stock status to let you know where the item is located plus an estimate on how long it will take to dispatch.

In Stock at Mighty Ape

These items are located in our Auckland-based warehouse and can be dispatched on the same day that you place your order. Delivery of these items is usually overnight to New Zealand addresses, although sometimes it can take a day or two longer for bigger items that are delivered to the South Island.

In Stock with Supplier

These items are in stock with our supplier and can be ordered by Mighty Ape so they can be dispatched to you from our Auckland-based warehouse. Depending on where the supplier is located it can take anywhere from 1–2 business days for your item to be dispatched from our warehouse, or up to 3 weeks if the supplier is based overseas. All items that are in stock with supplier carry a delivery ETA on the listing to let you know how long it’s likely to take.

Out of Stock

If a supplier usually stocks an item, but is currently out of stock, we will display it on the site as a Out of Stock. This means that we can source the item, but delivery will be delayed until the supplier receives more stock. We estimate the delivery time on the listing page, however this should be treated as a rough guide only as we’re at the mercy of our suppliers.


These items have not been released yet, but can be ordered in advance to ensure that you receive delivery of the item as soon as it's released. For many pre-order items we will ship the item the day before its release to ensure it's in your hands on the release day – look for the “Day One Delivery” message on the listing.
