We're accepting essential goods orders
We are pleased to announce that we have been given the greenlight to ship
orders for essential products during the COVID-19 Alert Level 4 lockdown.
You can now order a range of essential products that include items from the
following categories: food & drink, personal care, pet care,
working-from-home supplies, home & living essentials and more.. These
products all fall within MBIE’s guidelines on essential products and may be
adjusted from time to time. Orders for essential items will begin dispatching
from Thursday 2nd April.

Kia ora Mighty Ape customers,
As the COVID-19 situation develops in New Zealand we are monitoring the
situation and taking steps to ensure that the health and safety of customers and
staff at Mighty Ape is a priority while we supply essential goods.
What we are doing:
- Following New
Zealand Ministry of Health guidance and providing updates to staff.
- Staff have zero contact with members of the public or customers while
onsite.
- Office and administration staff working remotely
- Distribution staff are split into separate isolated shifts and numbers
working have been reduced
- Physical distancing protocols, layout changes, signage, and floor markings
have been implemented to ensure staff are not in close contact.
- Staff have been allocated specific break rooms, bathrooms, and other
facilities to further reduce contact between team members.
- Staff have staggered break times
- Hygiene protocols are in place including access to handwashing facilities
and hand sanitiser
- Thorough and frequent cleaning schedules are in place for all work and
common areas and equipment in use
For pickups customers:
To protect the health of customers during COVID-19 we are currently not
accepting new Pick Up orders.

It can be easy to think that using reusable nappies is too hard, too much
work, too tricky, and so on…
Disposable nappies sure are easier and quicker BUT do you know how many
nappies per child end up in landfill? From birth to about 2.5 years old you are
likely to use and throw away about 6,000 nappies! Roughly 60,000 babies are
born every year in New Zealand. If they all use disposable nappies that is
potentially 360 million nappies going to landfill. That is
A LOT of nappies!
Disposable nappies cost you more!
Disposable nappies cost 30 cents each on average. That equates to about
$1,800 spent on disposable nappies per child from birth to 2.5 years. In
contrast, if you used reusable nappies exclusively, you would only require
20 nappies for the same period. The total cost would range from about $220 to
$360 from our reuseable
nappies available.

The 92nd Academy Awards
were held on the 9th of February at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Big winner on the night was Parasite winning Best
Picture, the first movie not in English to take out the top award. The film also
won Best Director, Best International Film and Best Original Screenplay. Parasite releases on DVD and
Blu-ray this week!
