Well, aren't you all a bunch of clever monkeys?

We're always blown away by what you come up with, but the level of content that came through for this Competition took things to a whole new level.

From cheeky limericks that made us laugh to obscure Haikus that left us thinking – we even had a little bit of coded work written! You monkeys are a talented bunch.

It was super hard choosing a winner for this one, especially with the diversity of the work. But when an entry leaves you hooked and wanting to know what happens next, you've really got no choice. Have a read…

“Bless you”.

He turned around slowly at the sound of the words, in that slow motion way that foreboding figures from the movies often do. It’s not that he fancied himself such, but something about that heavy black trench coat, the dark leather gloves with the numerals XVI embossed on the back, the dark sunglasses..and perhaps even the smoking Welrod pistol gripped firmly in his right hand lent themselves well to this assumed dramatic personae.

Click. The fresh clip glided smoothly into the base of the Welrod, a maneuver he had obviously practiced to perfection. Looking down, he cocked an eyebrow at the young boy staring up at him with the wide eyed expression and open mouth that said his brain wasn't quite up to speed with his motor skills.

Remember what happened last time? Sure.

Glancing back over his shoulder, he nudged the leg of the body lying prostrate in the alley that stretched away into an obstacle course of trash, rats and foul stenches behind him. The body rolled slightly to the side, the pin stripe suit belonging to it already showing a growing crimson stain on its breast. Dead.

Striding past the boy, his boot heels clapping against the cold stone of the alley floor, he slipped his pistol inside his coat; ‘Point Of No Return’ he called the gun, fitting really.

First, it was Nova Prima, then Archie, now they have me killing suits. But it’s alright, surely they know what’s coming by now. And if they don’t, I’ll show them soon…
