Alex Woolf studied history at the University of Essex. An experienced freelance editor and writer, he has authored more than 30 books on a variety of topics, including the Romans, the Vikings, the Middle Ages, the Great Depression, Nazi Germany, the Battle of Britain and the Arab-Israeli conflict.
