The Smiths have repackaged their complete works in a clamshell
box set. The box set compiles their eight great albums from the '80s.
The collection includes all four of the band's studio albums The
Smiths (1984), Meat Is Murder (1985), The Queen Is Dead
(1986), Strangeways, Here We Come (1987), their sole live album
Rank (1988) as well as firm fan favourite compilations Hatful Of
Hollow (1984), The World Won’t Listen (1987) and Louder Than
Bombs (1987).
Each album has been taken back to original tape sources and remastered by
master-engineer Frank Arkwright, assisted by Johnny Marr at the world famous
Metropolis Studios in London.

As Metallica's own website states,
they are running things their way now that they have launched their own label
“Blackened Recordings”. This is very exciting as there has been
rumours and talks of their own label since the Black album era. Their debut
release entitled Quebec
Magnetic, a concert film shot in Canada, which releases on DVD and
Blu-ray on Friday next week.
Quebec Magnetic was shot by Metallica's long time cohort Wayne Isham,
capturing the two World Magnetic shows in Quebec City in the fall of 2009. The
set list for the second show was determined by Metallica fans who voted on the
band's official website. All the songs played at those two shows will be
included on the DVD/Blu-ray.

The
Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Original Soundtrack features the
original score by Academy Award winner Howard Shore and was recorded at famed
Abbey Road studios with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. It also includes an
original song entitled “Song of the Lonely Mountain,” written and
performed by New Zealand’s own Neil Finn.
The soundtrack comes in two versions, standard and deluxe, and will be
