Author Biography:

J.L. Fredrick has called Wisconsin "home" for most of his life. But retirement in 2012 changed all that. Now, living full-time in a motor home he calls "Captain Clark," he travels the US, and home is wherever the motor home is parked. He grew up on a Wisconsin farm and attended a one-room country elementary school, and then rode a bus to High School in town. After college in La Crosse, Wisconsin, he spent some time with Uncle Sam during the Viet Nam era. His working career included a variety of occupations until he entered the transportation industry in 1974 as an over-the-road truck driver. In later years, he got off the road to work as Safety and Personnel Management for several trucking firms in Minnesota and Florida. Eventually, he moved back to Wisconsin and spent the last years of his working career as a service adviser at a truck repair facility in Madison. His writing career overlapped other employment. By the time he retired in 2012, he had 15 novels and two non-fiction history volumes published. Now there are 21 titles. He presently continues to tour the country in Captain Clark.
