Description

Blake discovers the truth about his ancestors and their quest for freedom in a wild and dangerous land. Travel with him as he wakes up on the Mayflower and struggles to find his new identity, not as Blake, but as his ancestor Henry Samson. Experience firsthand the riveting life-and-death struggles on the voyage across the Atlantic, surviving the bitter winter. Will he ever find his way home again? About the DNA Chronicles: Blake & The Mysterious Coin series Stepping back through generations of time, our MVP Kids experience the history and culture of their ancestors. What happened in their lives? How did their great-great-great grandparents participate in the progress and development of their ancestral countries and communities? Each new adventure weaves the past with the present, reliving actual historical events and firsthand accounts of real people. Readers discover the fortitude required to commit to life’s most important values, life skills, and accomplishments, and will be inspired to embrace history while forging their own future. About MVP Kids Families with a diverse range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds drive the inspiration for child education and social emotional learning. MVP Kids enables real-world kids to address the challenges in their lives through story-based character lessons where the kids interact at school, in social situations, and in their communities. MVP Kids board books enrich preschool readers while hardcovers and paperbacks focus on school-aged children. Each MVP Kids book includes extensive coaching information for parents and educators that promotes character education, wise decision-making skills, and social and emotional learning. This diverse book features a range of families and diversity in positive ways. The MVP Kids span diverse cultures, ethnicities, religions, family situations, physical challenges, education, and professions. Some are the only child in their family; others have large families. Some are recent immigrants; others date back to the Pilgrims. The diversity allows children to see themselves in the pages of the book while also seeing positive interaction with others who are different.
