Author Biography:

Formerly the Chief Human Resources Officer of Motorola, Shelly spent her business career creating high performing teams and developing outstanding leaders. She currently works in the public policy area, analyzing federal issues impacting Chief HR officers of major companies. Shelly also has extensive experience in the non-profit world, having served on the Boards of Directors of Skills for Chicagoland's Future, the Chicago Urban League, and Little City Foundation. She also founded Sustaining Excellence, a non-profit organization created in 2014 to prepare collegiate student-athletes to successfully transition to a post-graduate career. A California native, Shelly was an Academic All-American and member of UCLA's 1982 National Championship Softball team. Timothy Zowada is the illustrator for many of our Real MVP Kids books. Tim has an Associates Degree in Fine Arts and has spent much of his life personally working with children. MVP Kids provides Tim with the opportunity to use his skill as an artist to help kids learn and grow into responsible and mature adults. Tim currently resides in Arizona.
