And most importantly she served as the wife of a country doctor, Jay Ira Thompson, MD in the country town of Smithfield, Ohio in the early 19th Century. She was also a writer of children's books, articles, and the author of The Country Doctor's Wife, now published by The Historical Society of Mount Pleasant, Ohio and by Bottom Dog Press (2021).
