This Enterprise is the ‘Refit’ model that is seen in Star Trek 1: The Motion picture, Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek 3: The Search For Spock when Kirk destroys the Enterprise to prevent the Klingons stealing it. For those who do not like getting sticky fingers this model is a must. It snaps together beautifully but with all models you have to do the preliminary cleaning work to ensure the parts close together properly. The job is not complete until the paper work is done therefore applying the decals could be a daunting experience for the young model maker since the saucer hull, secondary hull, warp nacelles and pylons all need decals but for the model to be finished a good paint job and decal application is a must and this requires time and patience.
