The Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games, the newest chapters in the Pokémon series, are here! With these new titles, the Pokémon series takes a new evolutionary step, allowing you to explore freely in a richly expressed open world.
Various towns blend seamlessly into the wilderness with no borders. You'll be able to see the Pokémon of this region in the skies, in the seas, in the forests, on the streets – all over! You'll be able to experience the true joy of the Pokémon series – battling against wild Pokémon in order to catch them – now in an open-world game that players of any age can enjoy.
The three Pokémon from which you'll be able to choose your first partner are Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. How will you meet these three, and what sorts of Pokémon are they?
During your adventure, you will meet a Legendary Pokémon—either Koraidon or Miraidon—and it will join you on your journey. Koraidon and Miraidon are full of mystery and are said to have power that far surpasses that of other Pokémon. It seems Koraidon and Miraidon have even more forms than those we’ve already discovered—these Pokémon are capable of changing their forms to better suit what they’re doing or what terrain they’re travelling over.
At Naranja Academy and Uva Academy, you can meet new people, new Pokémon—and a new you. In the center of Paldea sits the largest city in the region, Mesagoza. It is here that you’ll find a school boasting a history that few other schools do, where people from all sorts of regions come to hone their skills against each other, be it through academics or Pokémon battles. In Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, the name of the school, its emblem, its uniforms, and other details will differ depending on which game version you’re playing.
As one of the main characters, you'll set off on your adventure. Your outfit will vary depending on whether you play Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet. Who knows what kind of story awaits you?

Part 1 – The Teal Mask
Step out of the Paldea region as you take a school trip to the land of Kitakami.
There, you’ll meet new people and Pokémon while unravelling the mysteries
behind the area’s folk tales. In The Teal Mask, join a special school trip to
the land of Kitakami and learn about the local legend of the Loyal Three
Pokémon. Your base of operations will be Mossui Town, a communal hub where
locals gather and shop among picturesque fields and rice paddies. Visit Kitakami
Hall to the East of the village and experience the traditional Festival of
Masks. Encounter the newly-discovered Legendary Pokémon Ogerpon as you unravel
local folktales.
Part 2 – The Indigo Disk
The story continues as you become an exchange student and visit Blueberry
Academy. Most of this unusual school is located under the ocean, and its
curriculum emphasizes Pokémon battling. In the Indigo Disk, study abroad at
Blueberry Academy, where the curriculum emphasizes Pokémon Battling. Here,
you’ll explore the undersea Terrarium Dome, a facility with artificial
environments teeming with Pokémon. Each of the dome’s four areas has a
distinct climate, ecosystem, and Pokémon to find. Encounter the
newly-discovered Legendary Pokémon Terapagos as you broaden your horizons
beyond Uva Academy.
