Love, Pokemon Style:
After getting off to an auspicious start in the Silver Conference, Ash is pitted against a powerful trainer, Moe, to decide who from their division will move on to the next stage of competition.

Tie One On!:
After having defeated Moe, Ash moves on to the final battle in the qualifying round. With three victory points already under his belt, he needs only to tie in order to move on to the next round of competition. In a random drawing, Ash is pitted against a skillful trainer from New Bark Town.

The Tie That Binds:
As Ash prepares to face his childhood rival Gary in a decisive match in the Silver Conference, he thinks back over the history of their rivalry, remembering a Pokéball they both laid claim to long-ago and that in fighting over they ended up breaking in two.

CAN’T BEAT THE HEAT: Ash's battle with his rival, Gary, continues. At the end of a fierce exchange, each trainer is left with just one Pokémon, Ash with Charizard and Gary with Blastoise. When Gary's Blastoise brings out the heavy artillery, Charizard is hard-pressed to get out even a single attack. Even when it is able to land attacks, they do little damage against a Water Pokémon. If Ash is to win, he will have to somehow get past Gary's powerful attacks and make this a close range battle.
