What was great in Season One is even better. Outstanding set and costume design. Great plots begin to intertwine even more. Some scenes a bit scary but just watch between your fingers and you'll be sweet! Eva Green is amazing!
Fantastic TV series, everything I loved about the penny dreadful characters of the era. Definitely worth viewing. Can't wait for season 3 to come out on DVD.
Season 2 of the horror thriller begins with Vanessa (Eva Green) being barraged by an onslaught of disturbing occult images brought on by Evelyn Poole (Helen McCrory), while Dr. Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) tries to bring Brona (Billie Piper) back to life. Ethan (Josh Hartnett), due to the massacre he committed at the Mariner's Inn, decides to leave London; and Ferdinand Lyle (Simon Russell Beale) reveals the secrets of the Verbis Diablo. In a flashback, Vanessa meets the Cut-Wife (Patti LuPone), a master of the dark arts, who teaches her how to harness her powers, and warns her of the danger that lies ahead and the evil that will pursue her for the rest of her life. As for Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton), he comes under the deadly influence of the witches.
