The books have gorgeous page layouts that are easy to read at a glance, and are accompanied with beautiful photos. The “Basic”, “How to” and “Short order” sections scattered throughout both books add variety. The last fifteen pages of BOTH books cover kitchen tools, a glossary of “exotic” ingredients, a conversion chart for portion measurements (metric/imperial/US-cups), and a helpful index of all the recipes. These fifteen pages of both books are different from each other i.e. There are no overlaps/repeats between the books (except for the conversion chart of course).

The books are hardcover with dimensions 297×235mm and come in a sturdy box (4mm thick card).

Book 1 has 192 pages (with approx. 450 recipes) covering soup, salads, vegetables, roasts, simmers, pasta, noodles, rice, pies, tarts.

Book 2 has 191 pages (with approx. 300 recipes) covering cookies, biscuits, slices, small cakes, cakes, desserts, hot puddings, pies, tarts.

This collection makes for a great gift – I bought this for my sister's birthday and she loves it!
