Author Biography:

Gleeson Rebello, MD, is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has also been on faculty at Harvard Medical School since 2008. He has trained extensively in India and in the US and has vast experience in treating various childhood injuries and other pediatric orthopedic conditions. He is the published author of two other children's picture books, Darebone's Big Break, and Joe Some-More, and is the songwriter for the band The Fever Breakers. Laura Redfern is a pediatric orthopedic nurse practitioner at Massachusetts General Hospital. She also studied music at Point Loma Nazarene University and UMass Amherst. Her side career as an aspiring musician was derailed by her three young sons, who are also her primary motivation for writing this book. Helen Karimi is a medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine. She holds an MS in surgical neurophysiology from the University of Connecticut and obtained her BS in neuroscience and MA in molecular biology and biochemistry from Wesleyan University. She has recently co-founded Neuroplex Industries, Inc., a company whose mission is to promote neurosurgical safety. She enjoys teaching science to children, baking, and traveling, and she is passionate about community mental health issues. Nicholas Taylor is a medical student at Albany Medical College. He currently leads the Surgery Interest Group and Wilderness Medical Society at his institution. He earned a BA in molecular biology and biochemistry from Wesleyan University. His interests include hiking, cooking, and strength training, and he is passionate about promoting healthy lifestyle choices in exercise and nutrition within the Albany community.
