Ambre de Birmanie (Amber of Burma): amber is a fossilized tree resin mainly used as ornaments in the jewelry industry. Worn as jewelry since Antiquity, it was simply added onto a metal chain or skillfully crafted as a pendant.
From the beginning, J. Herbin distinguished itself from its competitors by offering a wide range of colors for the fountain pen inks. The names chosen for each color are very poetic to preserve the originality of the brand and as a French tradition.
J. Herbin is the oldest name in ink production in the world.
By 1700, the company was producing “Perle des Encres” – The Jewel of Inks. 300 years later, The Jewel of Inks is still being produced.
Each bottle of 30ml has an integrated pen rest. The bottles are known as “Flacon D”. The “D” refers to the old French unit of measure “la Demi Courtine”.
The ink is:
- Non-toxic
