This is by far the pick of the 4 volumes of the new series.
The two-part finale rewards those who have loyally watched the whole season…but as the character River Song would say: “Shh…spoilers!” You won't be disappointed.
The other episodes feature the Doctor meeting Vincent van Gogh, in a story that is much darker than the rest of the season, and one called “The Lodger”. It's funny, creepy, energetic and happy all at the same time, penned by another long-time “Who” writer, Gareth Roberts.
The finale is clever, but in fact, the penultimate episode is superior to the final one. Still, no complaints – it's a great finish.
