Richard Hughes graduated from Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a B.S. in Marine Transportation, then obtained an M.S. from Lesley University. He operated a safety training center on Cape Cod with his wife & fellow author Lavinia M. Hughes. He wrote Deep Sea Decisions and the Cape Safety, Inc. - Danger Dogs Series-a collection of 5 novels detailing the exciting lives of a top-notch safety consulting firm based in Woods Hole, MA, employing actual technological stories from the news that his characters use to solve global problems. Lavinia M. Hughes is the author of Enter Through the Bulkhead, the successor to the author's first collection of paranormal short stories entitled Enter Through the Crawlspace. The Twilight Zone and the Alfred Hitchcock Hour are her inspiration for these mystical stories that feature drama and a human nature twist. Her other books include An iGen Cookbook for the Unskilled, an instructional cookbook. A native New Englander, she has also co-authored three novels-Newtucket Island, Training Ship, and Cape Car Blues She lives and writes with her husband and co-author Richard Hughes at their Cape Cod home in the seaside village of Waquoit, Massachusetts.
