From barkeep to M.D., Ted Danson followed up his success on one long-running sitcom ("Cheers") with -- what else? -- another long-running sitcom, this one about a cranky Bronx physician who's a pussycat at heart. Constantly befuddled by the world around him, Dr. John Becker (Danson) manages to offend just about anyone who tries to get close.
