I love the fact you can command your own ship and be any kind of pirate you wish in a open world enviroment . Also plenty of single player game-play with plenty of side missions to distract you to get your moneys worth, I am looking forward to the extra content coming soon
I am a big fan of the Assassin's Creed series and like most was very disappointed with AC3.
Fortunately this new release is so much better. The free roaming is back and better then ever. Nothing makes you feel more bad ass then roaming the seas while singing sea shanties with your crew.
Sticking with the nautical theme, boat to boat combat has improved from the last instalment and the ability to board enemies ships is fantastic.
Hand to hand combat is very similar to AC3 but if it isn't broke don't fix it. Edward is a devastating fighter with brutal takedowns and with the ability to upgrade your holsters to hold four pistols you can chain multiple kills together.
The story is great with a lot of character development and even the out of the Animus parts are not bad either, the hacking mini games are very well done.
Overall it is a great game with plenty to keep your attention even after the final chapter, assassination contracts, navel missions and many interesting collectables to find with unusual item unlocks.
A 5 out of 5 game for me.
It also has an extensive multiplayer but this is not really my cup of tea. Don't get me wrong I have tried it and it is very well done but for me the online parts aren't why you buy an Assassin's Creed game.
This is a great game so much fun looting other ships and sailing the huge open world main story is great to thanks mighty ape
