Everybody knows Angel (David Boreanaz) as Buffy's Beau on ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ who must leave Sunnydale in order to give his one and only love a chance at a real life. Now in L.A. and lovesick, Angel must continue on fighting the ‘Big Bads’ which threaten the world, but he is not alone. Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) and Doyle (Glenn Quinn) make up the trio who take on anything that comes their way and help keep the balance between good and evil.
‘Angel’ may be a spin-off but is not a lesser version of Buffy in any way and carries it's own weight and then some. The show is a continuation from the 3rd season of ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and plot lines do interconnect from both shows which helps you feel like you are in the ‘Buffyverse’. The show has the typical humor which has come to be expected from the television legend Joss Whedon as well as everything he does best – Drama, Horror, Suspense, Romance and Supernatural.
I highly recommend this show to any Buffy fan or if you are not a fan on Buffy perhaps this show is a less teen orientated show with more adult story lines and less of the bubblegum feel. In any case do not be turned off by the label spin-off because in this case you will be letting yourself down.
