The increasing interest in American Indians, their histories, cultures and contemporary concerns, and the enormous quantity of material published on the subject in recent years have precipitated the need for this research guide. Following a teacher/librarian's approach to locating and using major sources for information and research, this work focuses on Native Americans in the United States, Canada and Alaska.
