Sam McBratney was a teacher before taking an early retirement to focus on his writing. Sam soon made picture book history with his beautiful Guess How Much I Love You. Shortlisted for the 1994 Kurt Maschler Award, and a recipient of the 1996 ALA Notable Children's Book, the title has sold over 28 million copies and has been translated into 53 languages to date. 2004 saw Sam re-united with Anita on You're All my Favourites, which was shortlisted for the Irish Bisto Book of the Year Award. Sam is married with three grown-up children and lives in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Anita Jeram is the beloved illustrator of Guess How Much I Love You, written by Sam McBratney, and over twenty books for children including Skip to the Loo, My Darling!, written by Sally Lloyd-Jones.
