Description

Ambrose Bierce runs through a catalog of misuse of the English language as it should be spoken and written by Americans. Though his list is 100 years old, he was so meticulous that it would benefit any writer to consult it.

Author Biography:

Ambrose Bierce was one of the best journalists of his day, most famous for his Devil's Dictionary, composed from a number of ironic bits he contributed to the newspapers he worked at. Some of his stories have made it into the movies. He disappeared in Mexico in 1914, and his fate remains a mystery. An experimental writer, he was a meticulous stylist.
