Description

(Just Click on the "Sarah James" Above for More Christian Books) --------- "Wondrous Love and other Gospel addresses" is a compilation of sermons by D. L. Moody. If you are a Christian then you will be blessed and challenged by these sermons, along with scripture references given as Moody's texts. If you are not a Christian you can still be blessed by these messages, which are not difficult to understand and are very powerful. God loved the world of sinners lost And ruined by the fall; Salvation full, at highest cost, He offers free to all. Oh, 'twas love, 'twas wondrous love, The love of God to me; It brought my Saviour from above, To die on Calvary! E'en now by faith I claim Him mine, The risen Son of God; Redemption by His death I find, And cleansing through the blood. Love brings the glorious fulness in, And to His saints makes known The blessed rest from inbred sin, Through faith in Christ alone. Believing souls, rejoicing go; There shall to you be given A glorious foretaste, here below, Of endless life in heaven. Of victory now o'er Satan's power Let all the ransomed sing, And triumph in the dying hour Through Christ, the Lord, our King. Get Your Copy Now!

Author Biography:

Dwight Lyman Moody was a predominant evangelist, author, and publisher. Raised on a farm in Massachusetts, he moved first to Boston, where he converted to evangelical Christianity in 1856, and then to Chicago, where he prospered in business. He gave up business in 1860 and engaged in missionary work with the YMCA. He founded Moody Church and preached in the slums, emphasizing literal interpretation of the Bible and the need to prepare for the Second Coming. In 1870 he teamed up with the hymn writer Ira D. Sankey (18401908), and they began a series of highly popular revival tours in Britain and the U.S. Moody founded the Northfield School (1879), the Mount Hermon School (1881), and the Chicago Bible Institute (1889; now the Moody Bible Institute).
