Not only a fantastic action-packed adventure story, but Terry writes in such a way as to vividly paint each and every scene into your mind, and the character development is outstanding.
If you want to be engrossed in a book, and want compelling characters, then don't miss out on this one.
Watched the TV series “Legend of the Seeker” and liked it so thought I'd read the books. This book is what became the TV show's first season. I found it a very enjoyable story, better than the show, and would recommend it to anyone who likes Tolkien or Raymond E. Fiest.
