Description

As a parent, you play a central role in managing your child’s wellbeing. When Your Child Is Sick will empower you to know what is normal when it comes to your child’s health and when you really do need to seek medical advice. In the main, there are 20 reasons why children are taken to the doctor and the problem is often quite minor. This book is built around these core childhood ailments, which you will encounter as your child grows. It will help you identify what’s wrong and give you the confidence to treat common complaints with common sense in the home.  Up to date with information and advice on the latest challenges young people face, there are sections on problems in early adolescence, the rise in allergies and the ongoing surge in obesity. When Your Child Is Sick is the essential health guide every parent and carer needs.    ‘Makes an excellent job of sorting out the minor from the major, getting that very tricky balance right so that parents don’t over- or under-worry.’ Irish Examiner  ‘A clearly written and well-illustrated handbook that will provide an important information source to parents and reassure them.’ World of Irish Nursing and Midwifery 'A really handy book to have at home.'
