Description

This book is dissimilar, in opposition to, or even against many of the rumors, hearsay, and testimonials that claim that the college admissions process is fair across the board. In fact, there is fraud and unethical behavior in pockets across the board and some of this is specifically found in Asia. Recently, organizations like the College Board and ACT have disqualified tests on a massive scale with thousands of scores discounted. In 2016, Reuters and other major news sources have revealed and specifically exposed widespread corruption in Asia. Advertising by agents and unethical "advisors" convince tens of thousands to pay $50,000 for "guaranteed" admissions to college. Some lure in parents and take their money for the dream of college admissions in the West. Contracts are more expensive than they purport and make guarantees that cannot be met and they cannot keep. Some, though certainly not all, "advisors" in the Chinese for-profit education system act in ways that are illegal, unethical, and looked down upon in the West. This book is presented to shine a light on agents and what you need to know before you sign a contract. Contained in this quick read book is valuable information to know so that individuals can make better decisions about who to hire and the danger of being pulled into an unethical scheme.
