Ron Cortez is a struggling engineering student at West State University, still haunted by the tragic loss of his parents in a car accident years earlier. Bea Jackson is desperately trying to cope with her sexuality after coming out as a lesbian to her parents with disastrous results. Now, she feels aimless, unsure if anyone will ever accept her for who she is. Sal, a friend of both Ron and Bea, is sampling all that life has to offer, leaving a string of ex-boyfriends and girlfriends in her wake. Unbeknownst to her, Ron and Bea harbor secret crushes on her. When Sal breaks up with her latest fling, Ron and Bea see a window of opportunity to express their true feelings. Only, there's a problem. A big problem. Sal lives across West State's campus, an arduous journey in its own right. And there happens to be a blizzard bearing down on West State University.
