Webb Strong, a special forces commander, has just finished one urban war only to be thrown into another land and into another conflict. He discovers the lands are closely connected to each other and his last mission, to eliminate a brutal guerrilla leader, must be finished here. He teams up with a beautiful first-order witch (called a Hag) and her friends to even the balance of power for the people of this land, Alkin Terra. This land has seen a century of war and conflict and resources are critically low. They cannot survive a long struggle. The Amulets that give the Hags and Wizards their power are weakening from lack of practice and their spell casting is not up to a major conflict. When the Amulets are gone, they must have achieved peace or they will fall back into a bloody civil war they cannot win. Time is precious.
