Description

Entrepreneur and adventurer Roger Thompson sets out on a series of journeys to find freedom from the mundane, to encounter God, and to know himself more deeply as a father and a husband. This is Wild at Heart for a new generation of readers. In the storied tradition of classic travel narratives such as John Steinbeck's Travels with Charley and Jack Kerouac's On the Road, Roger W. Thompson heads out on a journey, searching out elusive experiences for himself, and his family, that help illuminate deeper meaning in life. We Stood Upon Stars is comprised of over twenty-five spell-binding and interconnected road and wilderness quests that encourage the reader to find adventure "out there," to get off the couch and seek God, and for the reader to bring his family along for the journey. These stories and the contemplative nature of their telling invite the reader to meditate on spirituality, the themes of fatherhood, what it means to be a man, and the deeper meaning found in these defining experiences.
