"Just damn good"

This is how EA should demand their minion westwood produce the C&C games… this game kills camping and is 100% action, snooze…looze..... II is going to be even better thanks to COH mech. I luv it! these two are all you need, the next two expansions are unbalanced but playable. This game sets the bar for the others.

"Good value!"

Dawn of War is a semi new franchise which has taken off to a great start! This mini double pack is a good way to ease yourself into the vast world of Warhammer 40,000, which unfortunately isn't really talked about much in the game, leaving undisturbed lore and stories for the sequel. =D

Great graphics, amazing gameplay, brutal combat and addictive all together, this bundle is worth it's value!

"Classic RTS game."

I'm not a fan of Warhammer but it's a good game nevertheless. I liked the look and feel of the game, which is an important aspect. The 3D maps, mostly war torn urban, are great and you can really enjoy the cinematic element as you bring the camera down to ground level and zoom in to the action. I don't really like the stylised look of the characters but I dug the vehicles and buildings and everything else.

A slight complaint is that all the missions are the same ie. build a base, gather resources, build up your forces, smash the enemy. There's not really anything more to it than that, but that's what you want really, isn't it. There's an adequate story that is played out in cutscenes before and after each mission and that serves to keep you interested. Basically a company of Blood Ravens come to a planet to rid it of orcs and ends up battling Eldar and Chaos Marines who have some sinister plan. You only get to play the Blood Ravens though.

Voice acting and dialog is good.

A slight downer for me is the “hero” of the game, the Force Commander. He's not so much a hero as a fanatical maniac who slaughtered his own family, along with the entire population of his home planet for being heretics. He despises and vows to destroy heresy wherever he finds it. Heretics, though are simply those who do not worship his emperor god. Also, you don't really know who you're playing, exactly. You're not playing the Force Commander because during missions he talks to you and offers advice. It's just a little thing but I dug Red Alert where you played a character, a commander, albeit an anonymous one.

All in all, not great, but very good.
