There is nothing greater than knowing that we are the children of God. Our Father is the owner and maker of the universe. He's in charge of every minute of our lives. He will always work everything for our own good and in our best interests. If we could truly comprehend this reality, we would never be worried or distressed. It took me years of anguish and troubles to understand this. But one day I humbled myself before the Lord and asked Him to help me, to hold me, and to show me that He was real. In response, He told me: "I never make a mistake. I can take all the time I need to answer your prayers, because I am never late. I will never leave you or forsake you. I will always be with you and for you." I needed to leave everything in His hands, believing that He would always do what was best for me. Only then could I learn true comfort and peace. I felt God placing His hand over my deepest wounds. Then I finally understood His great love and mercy. My life has been in His hands ever since. Rosa Elena Curubo was born in Venezuela and received her music degree in Mexico. She has worked as an international consultant for large corporations such as Electronic Data Systems. She is married to a Colombian doctor. They lived in Texas for sixteen years and now reside in North Carolina.
