Dumped by her boyfriend Jamie, Isabel sends a message in a bottle while on holiday on Scotland, never dreaming that someone will find it. Isabel resumes her college life and forgets all about it. Author Biography

Sue Mayfield has been writing children's books for over ten years, and received critical acclaim for I Carried You on Eagle's Wings, which was published as an Adlib (literary teen novel) by Scholastic in 1992. SHe has since gone from strength to strength, and her first Bite novel for Hodder, Blue, which was published in July 2001 has reprinted twice! Sue lives in Yorkshire with her husband, Tim and her three sons, and is an active visitor to schools and has run several workshops for children on writing.
