Viva Pinata comes across to most as being a childrens game – and they aren't wrong, it is. But it is so much more than that. I have owned Viva Pinata since July and it has been a non-stop source of entertainment for myself, my girlfriend, my younger brother and my whole family.
You begin with a small patch of land, and then basically given full customization rights. And as you customise, more and more pinata will be attacted to your patch – the rush of excitement you get when a pinata you have been waiting to discover pops up is unparalleled.! There are no set “missions” or anything in Viva Pinata, as you are encouraged to do your own thing and make your own challenges, which proves to be alot of fun. The hardest part of the game is deciding what cute and papery species to keep in your garden.! Because yes, unfortunately, it can only hold a certain amount, but the ability to create several gardens is a cool feature.
The sounds and sights in Viva Pinata help to make it such a great game, and the customization not only of the garden, but also of each individual pinata is immense. People often judge Viva Pinata before they play it, believing it is a silly game, aimed at children. However, once they have played it, their opinion is bound to change.
I see Viva Pinata as an amazing game, full of challenges and options, and definitely one that should be on the buying list for Christmas. Highly recommended to everyone.
