Jochen Voigt went to war-torn Vietnam as a 20-year-old in 1967-68. When he returned to the country almost 40 years later, he realized that in all his experience as a professional photographer, cameraman, and television writer, no country had such an intense and lasting influence on him as Vietnam. With their unparalleled kindness, openness, wit, and charm, it is the people of Vietnam who fascinate him most.
