Vampire Knight was the first manga I ever read and because of the qualilty of story line and art, i've become hooked to the books. In volume 1 you get introduced to the main characters and by volume 4 your hooked. I love the charcters they're interesting and not set into basic personalities they're all unique and different.

Its an awesome read I would totally recommend it!!!

Kids love these books

In a sea of vampire books being everywhere it is pretty easy to become a popular series. All you need is vampires in it. Being a long time fan of vampires since way before Twilight and getting reintriuduced into the anime world after a couple years hiatus seeing Vampire Knight on the shelf I had to pick it up and read it straight away. The art is excellent. All the characters look good and are detailed well. Story wise it is about a school which has two classes. The day class for humans and the night class for vampires. Yuki and Zero are members of the day class but they are also the guadians of the school and it is their job to make sure the vampires don't attack the humans. Even though that is their job it does not stop Yuki for having a crush on Kaname, a night class student, and Zero for acting encresinly thirsty for something… As volume 1 goes it just introduces the main 3 characters but doesn't really do anything that exciting. I've only read 3 volumes and they all feel like an introduction. I'm assuming that the story will pick up in vol 4 considering the last chapter in vol 3 picked up the plot. So I suggest if you like manga and anime you should try the first 4 volumes to see if you enjoy the series.
