Utawarerumono tells the story of a mysterious man found wounded in the forest. Elulu finds him and treats his wounds. However the man has no memories and has a mask he can't remove. Tskuru, the village chief and healer, names him Hakoro and invites him to stay at the village. However, Hakoro is soon put in control of the village as they fight to stop an angry god and corrupt government. However, with each battle won another battle looms in the horizon. Utawarerumono may sound like your typical fantasy series, and it sort of is but one thing it has going for it is likeable characters. From cute little Aruru, quiet and cool Benawi and strong and loyal Touka. This series is beautiful to look at and charcter designs are creative as practically every character has furry ears and a tail. The omake theaters that are part of the special feautres are hilarious and definately worth a watch. If you like fantasy series and are looking for one with awesome characters, good romance and an interesting plot look no further than Utawarerumono

The start of the series was really exciting and cool with all the strategic battles and take overs, the middle was ok, but in the end it is all abt the gods in this series and it was really hard to understand what it was trying say.
