This game blew me away. My expectations were not that high because I found uncharted 2 a bit slow at parts and not that amazing. But this sequel, is amazing. The story is fantastic (although does leave a few questions) and has a solid ending. The early parts of the game are as a group the best, however the single best part comes late in the game, which I won't spoil. There is a bit less character development and tension in-between characters then the second game, however the one new addition to Drake's team fits in perfectly and is a lovable character, just as all the returning ones are.

The gameplay is great, it has slightly less puzzles then the other s and the shooting is improved (but still not perfect) as well as the now nearly perfected melee combat. However the climbing and platforming is the highlight of the gameplay, it blew me away with high tension and high stakes in some sections that will immerse you into the game completely (also thanks to the fantastic writing, voice acting and animations)

The multiplayer is a large, daunting step up from Uncharted 2 and will keep you occupied for a good few weeks (especially with split screen capability for everything aside from campaign, which I love) but will still need some improvement.

As for this edition of the game, it is great. The case is a journal, similar to Drake's in the game with some cool fan service photos, as well as a nicely textured map that doubles as an instruction manual and the DLC also is pretty cool (but not the main reason to buy this edition)

This is a pure playable cinematic experience. There is such attention to detail in every aspect of this game,the environments, storyline, player relationships… Everything! A combination of action, puzzle solving & pure adventure! This is what all other games should strive to be.

I didn't think it was possible to improve upon its predecessors, but I was completely wrong.

Naughty Dog continues to blow my mind with each release in the Uncharted series. The graphics look amazing, particularly in 3D, which adds that much more immersion to a game that already sucks you in with its atmosphere, music, and active events that feel like you're playing out a cutscene.

Nate runs around as realistically as I would have thought possible in a game, bracing himself against walls if he runs close to them, stumbling on uneven ground, during which all his movements feel natural, which it should given the motion capture used during the development of this epic series. Nuances in the facial features give an additional level of emotion and realism to the characters, and you really believe what they feel, what they should be feeling.

As usual, voice acting is top notch, and I always enjoy the banter between Nate and his cohorts as you run around uncovering the world's secrets, of even his monologue if he's alone.

The game reels you in as you actually feel for the characters and how the story develops as you play. There is no short supply of action in this game, and shooting combat feels every bit as natural as it did before. Melee combat on the other hand, has been drastically reworked and is actually one of my favourite updates the game has gotten, and I actually find myself diving from cover to cover, trying to edge closer to punch my way through the fight instead of shooting, it is a blast and definitely my preferred form of combat where it's possible.

Speaking of combat and different options, the Naughty Dog still gives flexibility in how you choose to go about getting from A to B, whether you run in guns blazing, sneak past by climbing over everyone, or slowly make your way through using stealth takedowns, catering for different preferred playstyles.

I cannot recommend this game enough, even if you haven't played the first two.
