When Nothing Works, Anything Goes.
When a power failure plunges the entire city into anarchy, a young suburban couple – Matt (Kyle MacLachlan) and Annie (Elisabeth Shue) are drawn into murder and mayhem. After a volatile evening at the movies, the pair arrives home to find a sick daughter, but Matt struggles to get help for his child when a blackout strikes down all communications in the city. Joined by a friend, they flee for safer parts of the country, only to face strangers, distrust, fear, and ultimately – their own humanity.
