Growing up in an African American household and being raised by a single mother is not easy. A toxic family is the reason we learn how to accept unacceptable behaviors from other people in our adulthood. African Americans, especially those who are raised by single mothers, are cannot sustain happiness because they lack CONFIDENCE, MOTIVATION, ACCOUNTABILITY, SELF-CARE, and the willingness to FORGIVE others. These five factors are essential to how we interpret love and how we give love to others.
