It describes the terrifying first attacks by the guerrilla freedom fighters known as Mau Mau. Though defeated, the Mau Mau hastened the end of British rule in Kenya. Author Biography:

Nicholas Rankin worked for 20 years for the BBC World Service, winning 2 UN awards and becoming Chief Producer.He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.He lives in Ramsgate, Kent.
