Ghost Recon: Island Thunder is team-based, two teams of four men which comprise of four class types of your choice; rifleman, sniper, support, and demolitions. Some missions require you to take a specific class but other than that the team makeup is up to you from running a mission lone wolf or a complete 8-man team. Multiplayer offers online, Co-op and Adverserial.
Island Thunder is my first play at a reality style FPS; the fact there is no healing during missions leads the player to adopt a careful and stealthy approach, especially where bonus objectives require complete team survival, also silenced weapons take on more definitive role, as gunfire can draw nearby enemies to your position.
I must admit I drew upon an old axiom when I played this game… “When in doubt, grenade it out!!”
