Description

As an extension of the beloved New York Times column Modern Love, Tiny Love Stories – Modern Love in miniature, featuring reader-submitted stories of no more than 100 words – was launched in 2018. Every week, five stories are published online, and one story is included in the print edition of the Sunday Styles section of the New York Times. Tiny Love Stories, the book, will feature a curated collection of 175 of these moving, inspirational, uplifting, heartwarming, and heartbreaking love stories, handpicked by the editors of the column from the thousands of submissions they receive. From the loss of a parent and the end of a marriage to hopeful first dates and self-love, stories of all kinds of relationships fill the pages of this beautifully illustrated book.

Author Biography:

Daniel Jones has edited the Modern Love column in the New York Times since its inception in 2004. His books include Modern Love: True Stories of Love, Loss, and Redemption; Love Illuminated: Exploring Life’s Most Mystifying Subject (with the Help of 50,000 Strangers); The Bastard on the Couch; and the novel After Lucy, which was a finalist for the Barnes & Noble Discover Award. Jones appears weekly on the Modern Love podcast and is a consulting producer for Amazon’s Modern Love. He lives in Northampton, Massachusetts, and New York City. Miya Matsumoto Lee began working for the Modern Love column in 2014 as a submission reader for the column’s third college essay contest. After interning at Farrar, Straus and Giroux and graduating magna cum laude from Columbia University, Miya joined the New York Times as the Modern Love projects assistant. She grew up in New York City, where she currently lives.
