Author Biography

Dr. Heinrich Harrer was born in Austria in 1912. He has been an Olympic skiier, mountaineer, traveller, and author of several books, including Seven Years in Tibet. He passed away in 2006. Thubten Jigme Norbu (1922-2008) is the brother of Tenzin Gyatso, the Fourteenth Dalai Lama. He eventually settled in America and worked devotedly for the Tibetan cause.
