This book evolved from intervening in the non-reading behavior of the learning disabled students in a 4th grade class at PS 104, The Bays Water School in Queens, New York. Based on observation and interactions with the students, a learning approach that supported the students' transfer of personal passions to classroom learning was initiated. The result was a radical leap in self-efficacy and learning experience of the students. They call me Big Punn characterizes the learning experience of one of the students and hints of the possibilities of integrating multiple intelligences in classrooms.
