Description

Based on Paul Newham's experience as a voice therapist and on his work running a professional training course in the psychotherapeutic use of singing, this text explores both the theory and practice behind the use of voice and singing in expressive arts therapy. Part one focuses upon the theoretical background, covering such topics as: vocal groupwork; the voice and dramatherapy; and a discussion of the need for vocal arts therapy. Part two discusses the practicalities of using voice therapy with chapters covering the use of vocal therapy with people with neurological damage and those with cerebral palsy.
