Author Biography:

Dr. Gladys McGarey, M.D., M.D.(H) is internationally recognised as the 102-year-old Mother of Holistic Medicine and who now offers Life Consultations. In 1970, she co-founded the American Holistic Association in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she pioneered the integration of allopathic and holistic medical practices, laying the groundwork for the cultural shift that recognises alternative and holistic medical modalities. She still lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, and shares a medical practice with her daughter Helene Wechsler, MD. She currently has a life coaching practice, maintains a healthy diet, and enjoys a good piece of cake now and then as well.
