Author Biography

Maite Carranza studied Anthropology and worked as a teacher. In 1992, she began to write full time. She ha received several awards including EDEBE children's literature prize and has written more than 40 books for young readers. Maite lives in Barcelona, Spain. Noel Baca-Castex, the translator, was born in Argentina. After receiving a degree in Spanish-English, she worked in publishing for ten years. Noel is now a full-time translator and lives in New Jersey, America.
